Named after the titan who brought fire, light and knowledge to the world, Prometheus Education Systems exists to help defence, security and government organisations acquire, share and apply knowledge with the precision that their work demands.
Our name and its origins in ancient Greek mythology carry a second, deeper meaning, more personal than the legendary story suggests. The founder's daughter was given the Greek name 'Eleni' by her parents, to honour her heritage.
Eleni tragically died from terminal bone cancer in 2024. She was twenty-one years old.
The extraordinary courage, determination and resilience Eleni demonstrated throughout her illness were joined with an unusual instinct to see directly to the heart of problems, and to find novel ways to solve them. That perceptiveness, and the light which she carries with her still, is embedded in the heart of Prometheus Education Systems, and in everything we strive for.
The Greek names used across our product range are intentional. They are more than casual references to the past. They honour the values and spirit of a remarkable young woman.
They honour Eleni.
